A group of parents initiated the project and created a non-profit association under Congolese law called AFEDI. The African Association for Education and Instruction is primarily concerned with families. In 2009, AFEDI founded LIZIBA High School in Kinshasa: a private school for girls. The primary, general secondary and literary and scientific humanities sections are organized. LIZIBA High School is interested in parents who are concerned about their children's education. By entrusting their children to the high school, parents delegate their responsibility as first educators without abandoning it. To help parents in this process, Liziba offers mornings of reflection on educational themes. The main actors of our educational project are parents, the first educators of their children, teachers in charge of directing educational activities, non-teaching staff who facilitate the creation of the educational environment and students, the main actors of education.
