Ki-Pepeo Kids Clothing is a manufacturer of children clothing based in Kigali, Rwanda. It produces handmade clothing for children, combining Western and African fashion styles. Fabrics processed in Ki-pepeo Kids Clothing are predominantly purchased in Rwanda with only a few high-quality fabrics that must be shipped from abroad. Especially with regards to employment Ki-Pepeo Kids Clothing is acting sustainably: Employment of largely female, experienced tailors earning a fair wage is its main principle. Tailors are full-time employees, especially among Rwandan working class people this means a high extent of social safety as they benefit of a fixed income every month, which apart from few tertiary-sector jobs in Rwanda is not often the case. Currently one shop and one production site are operational in the same building.
