Global Outlook Norway

Global Outlook Norway is a new arena for debate aiming at strengthening the role of business, political and academic leaders through enabling them to play a key role in being part of the solutions needed for a more sustainable development. Global Outlook Norway put on the agenda important global trends, threats and opportunities linked to resource scarcity, climate change, and shift in energy markets, sustainable investments and sustainable innovation. New ways to cooperate and new solutions are needed to address the complexity of challenges in the world today. Business can and should play a leading role in shaping the global, regional and industrial agendas and this arena will provide the necessary knowledge to do so. Global Outlook Norway is an initiative taken by three business clusters – GCE NODE, Eyde-nettverket and Maritmt Forum. The initiative is funded by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and co-hosted by the three clusters. Global Outlook is being arranged for the first time, on August 13th 2014 – back to back with Arendalsuka, a well-known week of political and societal debate held in the small town of Arendal in the South of Norway.
