Georgian Association of Strategic Communication (GASC), formally established in 2020 in Tbilisi, Georgia, is a nonprofit organization aimed at advancing trusted communication and ethical PR practice through networking, its own code of conduct and intellectual leadership of the profession. GASC's overall goal is to become a leading national body for public relations and communications professionals in Georgia, representing and providing professional support and recognition to practitioners and consultants nationwide. By creating a platform for networking and knowledge-sharing, the Association will join forces with strategic communications and PR professionals in and outside Georgia to increase awareness about PR profession in Georgia, introduce high ethical standards in the industry, as well as offer continuous educational opportunities through cooperation with local and international PR experts, agencies and similar associations. GASC is founded by strategic communications and marketing professionals with over 15 years of local and overseas experiences in leading strategic communications, PR/media/marketing management and diplomacy efforts for public and private sectors, non-for-profit organizations, as well as international development programs and agencies. GASC is joined by regional and international communications and media experts with extended experience in journalism and public communication, as in teaching and educational politics.
