Established in 2007, the main objective of Al Amal pour le Développement et Formation is to help women of all economic levels to complete or continue their education so they may better provide for their families. Many of the educational courses teach artisan skills (embroidery, calligraphy, literacy, cooking, and hair dressing) and technical skills (computer literacy) to increase employment opportunities and/or assist the women in starting their own businesses. Language courses in Modern Standard Arabic, French and English are taught as well.
